Neumann hammers 16 kills in Bulldogs' league win
RATHDRUM — Kayla Neumann slammed home a match-high 16 kills to pace the Bulldogs, who took care of business on the road with a 25-22, 22-25, 25-14, 25-11 win over Lakeland in 4A Inland Empire League volleyball action Thursday night on the Rathdrum prairie.
Setting the table on offense was Laney Search, who tallied eight kills, 32 set assists, 10 digs and three aces, as the Bulldogs (12-5, 1-0 4A IEL) closed strong after a slow start.
“A lot of distractions this Homecoming week, so it was a good opportunity to practice focusing and getting the job done,” said Bulldogs head coach Erin Roos. “Not pretty, but it was a W.”
Grace Hicks once again provided another potent hitter in the attack, posting 12 kills and three blocks, while Grace Kirscher added six kills and four blocks and Shelby Kluver five kills, 17 digs and two aces in the league win.
