NAMI announces regional conference

NAMI Idaho will hold its north regional conference on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites in Coeur d’Alene.

Programming begins at 9 a.m. with a public meeting of the NAMI Idaho Board of Directors. This public meeting will include the election of new directors and officers. A free luncheon for all registrants will be held from 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. From 12 p.m.-4 p.m., there will be educational presentations. Educational presentations include a North Idaho Crisis Center Update, Judge Mitchell discussing Mental Health Court and an update on State Hospital North.

NAMI Idaho’s mission is to improve the quality of life for all those affected by mental illness through support, education, advocacy and research. NAMI Idaho hosts numerous affiliate organizations that serve communities throughout Idaho.
