SANDPOINT — The camera that streams video of the osprey nest at War Memorial Field has been repositioned to capture the demolition and construction of the new Barlow Stadium.

“They re-pointed it at the stadium so now you can see it live coming down and the construction,” said Kim Woodruff, the city’s director of Parks and Recreation.

The camera is operated by Sandpoint Online (http://stadiumcam.sandpointonline.com/).

The osprey that occupy the nest have flow south for the winter, freeing up the camera for use during stadium demolition and construction.

The idea is to keep the camera up for the duration of the project, but Woodruff said work may interrupt the video stream at some points.

“We’re going to do our best to keep it going,” he said.

Apex Construction volunteered to conduct the demolition work, Woodruff said.

The demolition is scheduled to be done by the end of the month, although he expects the work will be done sooner than that.

“They’re going to get going in earnest tomorrow and they’ll get after it,” said Woodruff.
