Pirate Dan of Creations battled willing patrons with foam swords, made them walk the plank and let them plunder the treasure chest for prizes. Library staff led patrons in an activity to find their pirate name and learn to talk pirate with the library’s free foriegn language app, Mango Languages. National Talk Like a Pirate Day is celebrated every year on Sept. 19.
