MCC hosting a night of Oktoberfest fun

| September 24, 2016 1:00 AM

Once again, it’s going to be a barrel of fun as the Hope Memorial Community Center hosts its fourth annual Oktoberfest. It all happens Oct. 1 starting at 4 p.m. with a little happy half hour.

MCC is offering a scrumptious and filling Oktoberfest meal featuring the Hess family’s amazing homemade brats — so good they’ve sold out three years in a row.

In addition, there will be homemade sauerkraut, coleslaw, beans and dessert as well as great brews, wine and soft drinks.

For the younger crowd, the fundraiser will feature a children’s meal as well.

Dinner will start at 4:30 p.m. and, at 5 p.m., the Miah Kohal band gets the music started.

“Bring your dancing shoes or just kick back with good friends around the fire pit,” MCC site manager Carolyn Speelmon said.

The Memorial Community Center is located at 415 Wellington Place in Hope.
