SANDPOINT — Amos Crossingham and Dawson Mulder celebrated Senior Day in style, each scoring a pair of goals to lead Sandpoint to a 4-0 blanking of Lewiston in nonleague boys soccer on Saturday at Pine St. Field.

The Bulldogs (5-2-4) came out on fire, netting three goals in the first 12 minutes to put the game away early. Mitch Rust earned his second shutout on the season, and Mulder now has 15 goals on the season.

“We got going early and often. The guys were knocking the ball around well and creating all kinds of chances,” said Bulldogs head coach Adam Tajan. “We put it away early and never really looked back.”

Sandpoint hosts Lake City on Monday.

First half — 1, Spt, Amos Crossingham (Andre Kemink), 7:00. 2, Spt, Crossingham (Jack Rinck), 10:00. 3, Spt, Dawson Mulder (Mitch Rust), 12:00. Second half — 4, Spt, Mulder (Charlie Crane), 71:00.

Shots on goal — Spt 9, Lew 2.

Saves — Spt, Mitch Rust 2; Lew, Brandon Morris, 7.

LEWISTON — Kayla Inman returned from injury and scored her first varsity goal in the 28th minute to equalize the game, as the Bulldogs controlled the action but could not net a game winner, settling for a 1-1 tie in nonleague girls soccer Saturday in Lewiston.

The Bulldogs (3-4-4) out-shot the Bengals 10-1, but an early mistake proved costly in another draw.

“I’m pleased we battled back after giving up a soft goal early. We lacked composure in our attacking third, and just couldn’t finish,” said Bulldogs head coach Conor Baranski. “We were very dangerous with through balls to Jezza Hutto. Lewiston’s goalkeeper is very talented, and definitely kept them in the game.”

Sandpoint hosts Lakeland on Wednesday, looking to earn the right to host the district championship.

First half — 1, Lew, Kallie Mastro (unassisted), 8:00. 2, Spt, Kayla Inman (Yeo Yarnell), 28:00. Second half — None.

Shots on goal — Spt 10, Lew 1.

Saves — Spt, Shea Kilpatrick 3; Lew, Kasha Bailey, 8.
