Your vote aids grant request

The exciting news: Sandpoint has been chosen as a grant finalist for The Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health.

However, an important part of the selection process is based on community support, your support. Please vote for Sandpoint at highfiveidaho.org/vote.

Your vote could help Sandpoint be a grant recipient with the funds being used to improve youth access to healthy foods and physical activity. In addition, funding can be used to support program offerings through Park and Recreation, nonprofit business and medical partners.

I have been enrolled in the Walk With Ease Program through Park and Rec/Kanisku Land Trust for the last three sessions. This is just one of the programs which may benefit from these funds. This program promotes walking, nutrition and a healthier lifestyle for all ages. Personally, I am indebted to the program for getting me off my sofa, walking regularly and losing weight. I want to ensure these types of programs can continue and grow in Sandpoint.
