7B Women advocates for loved ones
SANDPOINT — On Tuesday, the 7B Women, a committee of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, will host its monthly luncheon at Tango Café in the Columbia Bank Center. The luncheon begins at 11:45 a.m.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the 7B Women will focus its October luncheon on two organizations in our community who do much to support women with breast cancer, and they invite area residents to be a part of what promises to be a special event.
There will be presentations by representatives from Celebrate Life and Community Cancer Services who will share information about their services and the lives they have impacted in our community. The two organizations have done much to make the lives of those living with cancer less stressful by offering everything from help with prescription payment to providing support groups and so much more.
“When someone hears the words ‘you have cancer,’ their lives change in an instant. They often feel overwhelmed and afraid,” said 7B Women Vice Chair Patty Hutchens who is also a former board member for Community Cancer Services. “By knowing what resources are available and providing support to our loved ones, we can make those battling cancer feel empowered. We look forward to welcoming these two organizations to our luncheon to share their missions.”
All the proceeds from raffle items this month will go to these two worthy organizations.
