NIC to host veteran burial benefits talk

North Idaho College is hosting a presentation on veteran burial benefits Thursday, April 13, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Edminster Student Union Building Driftwood Bay Conference Room on NIC’s main campus. Veteran and Military Family Services and the Spokane Veterans Center will give the presentation, which is free and open to the public.

Rudy Lopez, director of the Washington State Veterans Cemetery at Medical Lake, Wash., will address eligibility criteria for burial benefits. The presentation is being organized by student veterans attending NIC, Lewis-Clark State College, and the University of Idaho.
