Lions announce Easter egg hunt

| April 4, 2017 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Once again, the Sandpoint Lions are giving the Easter Bunny a helping hand.

The club will hold its annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 15, at Lakeview Park. The fun starts promptly at 10 a.m.

There will be hundreds of plastic eggs hidden for all egg hunters. Please be sure to arrive early in order to get to your designated age group on time. There will be several Lion members (bunny helpers) available to help you with directions

Those hunters who find the special “golden “ plastic eggs will receive a prize. Lions members suggest five eggs each as a rough goal for each hunter and encourage the really good hunters to share with those who might not be so lucky.

To make sure all hunters take care of their teeth, local dentist Dr. Tom Davies will be donating and distributing dental products. Selkirk Fire and Bonner County sheriff’s deputies will be on hand for youngsters to ask questions and get an up-close look at police and fire equipment and vehicles.

There is no cost to participate in the egg hunt; it is part of the Sandpoint Lions community service programs. Parents are invited to come and watch the fun but, please no helping the hunters except in the very young age group.

Maximum age for hunters is 11 years of age. Don’t forget to arrive early as the hunt starts promptly at 10 a.m. and is over quickly.
