Ruth Cecelia Spracklen, 70, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Visitation for friends and family will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at the Lakeview Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the Lakeview Funeral Home.

Cecelia was born on Feb. 14, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland, to parents William and Ruth Kallio. When she was 5 years old, the family moved to Sandpoint, where she completed school. Cecelia married Ken Spracklen in Sandpoint in 1965. They made their home in Moscow, Idaho, where she worked as a certified nurse’s assistant. She worked hard to give of herself, she loved those in her care and always showed compassion. In addition to working as a nurse, she also worked as a baker and cook for a fraternity and sorority at the University of Idaho.

In 1983, the family moved back to Sandpoint, and Cecelia baked for the Pastime and The Whistle Stop. After she and Ken divorced, she married Robert Angus in 1991. They owned and operated Bob’s Fencing.

She was always ready to laugh and share wisdom, adding to every life experience her own depth. She loved country music, dancing, writing short stories, poetry, crafts, cooking, baking, traveling, dressing in bright colors, she loved anything purple, and wearing big jewelry.

She is survived by her three children, Wade Spracklen of Maple Valley, Washington, Teresa Roberts of Ponderay, Idaho, and Krista (Robert) Vallelunga of Colorado Springs, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Dallas, Dusty, and Dakota Roberts, Jusiah, Sundari, Nahara, and Colette Vallelunga; brothers Frank (Sharron) Kallio of Post Falls, and Floyd Kallio of Sandpoint; and sister Mary (Joel) Fisher of Sandpoint.

Lakeview Funeral Home of Sandpoint is handling the arrangements. Please visit Cecelia’s online memorial at www.lakeviewfuneral.com and sign her guest book.
