A month dedicated to poetry

| April 8, 2017 1:00 AM

I would visit my library in a boat.

I would visit my library with a goat.

I would navigate a moat,

Just to visit my library.

Do you write poetry? When I was young, I used to write poetry and it was a great way to express myself. Considering the quality of my recent work demonstrated above, I am clearly a bit rusty.

If you enjoy writing or reading poetry, April was made for you. Check out our Events page on www.eBonnerLibrary.org for the slew of Poetry Month funshops (fun plus workshops — I made that up) and programs for every age. We will also have a poetry book display for you to browse.

Later in the month, the Sandpoint Friends of the Library will be out in our community for Poem in Your Pocket Day, swapping poems with everyone they meet … so be ready for that. If you’re not, they might gloat (Get it? Rhymes with goat?)
