Safety awareness class is planned

SANDPOINT — April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Sandpoint Taekwondo is offering a free one-day child safety awareness class on Wednesday, April 19 from 4-5 p.m. at Sandpoint Taekwondo (218 Main St.).

The class flier proclaims “Tough subjects taught in a child-friendly manner,” including avoiding child abduction, avoiding sexual predators, Internet safety and more.

The class will teach basic safety skills in the some of the harder areas. From bullies to child predators, instructors will tackle some tough subjects.
