Sanchez named top chamber volunteer

At the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, volunteers are essential to the success of the chamber. Without their hard work and dedication, chamber officials said they could not accomplish all that we do.

“With that in mind, we want to thank those willing to go above and beyond to help our programs and events be successful,” chamber president and CEO Kate McAlister said.

The Chamber’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce Steve Sanchez as the chamber’s Volunteer of the Month for his leadership and commitment to the chamber and the community.

Sanchez is always willing to help in various areas of the Chamber and serves on the Ambassador committee; which serves as a face of the chamber at many community events and functions, welcomes new members and assists with member relations and retention.

In addition, he is seen at nearly every general membership luncheon and ribbon cuttings celebrating new chamber members.

“Steve is highly reliable, a true advocate for the Chamber of Commerce, and a guy we trust to get things done behind the scenes,” said Chairman of the Board Ken Wood.

Steve works at Pend Oreille Surgery Center where he is highly respected by his co-workers and appreciated for all he does, said Kris Sabo. His co-workers recently nominated him as employee of the month.
