| April 13, 2017 1:00 AM

PONDERAY — If you’ve glanced to the west when you’re waiting at the traffic light near the Bonner Mall, you may have noticed a new business nestled between Fantastic Sam’s and Subway. It’s the new World Finance office.

World Finance is a financial services company with over 50 years experience, providing financial one-on-one service through neighborhood branches all over the United States. The crew at the Ponderay branch — longtime area residents Kenna Stoffels, Karen Johnson and Rhonda Thurlow — are trained World Finance associates comitted to making customers’ experience easy, professional, convenient, and friendly.

“World Finance is not a payday loan business,” said Stoffels. “Our customers apply for a loan, up to $3,000 — either by phone or in person — and when they are approved, they make regular installment loans.

“We make loans for all occasions — quickly and there are never any fees to apply.”

If you’ve ever need to improve or establish credit, World Loans is likely a great fit for you, Stoffels said.

The application process is hassle free and quick, she added, noting that millions of people throughout the country have experienced just how simple World Finance loans are and are return customers.

Because of their comittment to helping customers, World Finance has partnered with the AFSA Education Foundation to offer the MoneySKILL online personal finance curriculum. It’s a free, online program — available to all interested anywhere there is internet access — offers tools to educate yourself in the content areas of income, expenses, saving and investing, credit and insurance.

Some of the topics covered in the free training include: paying for what you buy, tracking expenses and budgeting, cost and benefits of borrowing, understanding your credit rating and identity theft.

Another of the services provided at World Finanace is tax preparation. If you’ve put it off a little too long this year, and you need a little help, the crew said to give them a call at 208-265-2743 or you can just drop in at 476534 Highway 95 in Ponderay, across the highway from McDonald’s.

“Come in for a chat and get fast and friendly service,” Stoffels said.
