Ralph Robert 'Robbie' Burt Jr.

Robbie was born on March 3, 1952, and passed away on March 29, 2017 from complications of ALS.

He was raised in Seattle then moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1972. Robbie was born to Ralph and Evelyn Burt and is survived by his wife, Yvonne, of 20 years; son Austin Burt, daughter Alycia (Austin) Patterson, son Jordan (Jenneal) Rogers, son Jared (Brandi) Rogers, and daughter Angela (Jon) Horwath; sister Sable (John) Neece, and their daughter Andrea. He is survived by seven grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Shiloh West.

Robbie graduated from Evergreen High School in 1970. He played baseball, lettered in golf and won the punt, pass, and kick competition, he also loved pole vaulting. He played the trumpet, and enjoyed working on cars with his dad.

While he was in high school Robbie worked for Pier 91. After moving to Sandpoint he worked for the Pack River Lumber Company, the Forest Service and was a construction worker for the Laborers Union for 20 years until he retired in 2007.

After retiring, he helped his wife with the family business, which is an adult family home, where they care for elderly and developmentally disabled adults.

Robbie was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting for big game, fishing and camping. Robbie enjoyed sharing his passion for hunting with his son, Austin. Everyone who knew Robbie knew about his love of hunting and the outdoors.

A celebration of Robbie’s life will be held at the Priest River Event Center, 5399 Highway 2, Priest River, Idaho, at 1 p.m. April 23.

He touched so many lives and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
