PONDERAY — Spring has sprung and Yappy Hours are back. After a long winter, there is nothing better than mingling with friends at happy hour, especially when some of those friends have four legs and wagging tails.

Laughing Dog Brewing will kick off the season on Thursday, April 27, from 4-7 p.m. Laughing Dog has been a Yappy Hour venue from the start; however, this year the popular event will be held at their new location, 805 Schweitzer Plaza Drive, Ponderay, which opened April 1.

“We are excited for the event to be here at our new site,” said co-owner Fred Colby.

At the event, there will be an outdoor, fenced area where dogs may roam freely, and leashed dogs are welcome inside.

Held the last Thursday of the month, April through September, from 4-7 p.m., Yappy Hours include live music, a fenced-in area for dogs, food and drink (available for purchase), and a whole lot of fun. Admission is free (donations for PAS accepted).

Locations for 2017 Yappy Hour events are:

- April 27 — Laughing Dog Brewing

- May 25 — Taylor & Sons Chevrolet

- June 29 — Greasy Fingers Bikes ‘n’ Repair

- July 27 — Trinity at City Beach

- Aug. 31 — Evans Brothers Coffee

- Sept. 28 — Eichardt’s Pub Grill & Coffee House
