BLANCHARD — Stoneridge Golf Course, and head pro Mike Deprez, played host to the bi-annual Bulldog Bench fundraising golf tournament recently, with a host of local golfers claiming wins and prizes while supporting Sandpoint High School athletics.

Former Bulldogs Caleb Bowman, Scott Albertson and Satini Puailoa teamed with Idaho Club golf pro Randi Fischer to win the team title with a gross score of 55.

The winning team by net score, with handicaps factored in, was Jake Oliver, Daren Parsons, Brian Wilson and Luke Miller, with a 49.5

Second place went to Bill Barlow, Tye Barlow, Tommy Barlow and Chris Boyd after they tied at 50.3 with Kenny Fankell, George Post, Steve Turner and Taylor Made, but after posting a three on No. 18 won by way of tie-breaking criteria.

The high score award went to Shawn VanGundy, Mike Miller, Cory Gula and Sean Behm, who posted an 84 in the four person scramble.

Closest to the pin awards went to Randi Fischer (No. 2), Todd Becker (No. 8), Tyson Glahe (No. 13), Jeff Hurst (No. 15) and Craig Harris (No. 17). Long drives went to Mike Valenzuela (No. 6) and Ashleigh Mire (No. 14). Long putt award went to Guy Marks (No. 9).

The Title Sponsor was Litehouse Dressing, along with key contributions from Realm Partners, Taylor and Sons and many other businesses and individuals.

Let’s do it again in the fall local golfers.
