I would like to personally thank Senator Shawn Keough for her support of GARVEE and other necessary transportation improvements.

If you aren’t aware, Idaho has recently passed a transportation bill that includes $320 Million in new GARVEE bonding, a portion of which will undoubtedly improve safety on Highway 95 from Granite Hill to Sagle.

My family has used the intersection at Granite Hill to access our property on Kelso Lake for more than 30 years. Over that period we have seen and heard of countless accidents at this intersection, not to mention fatalities at the hundreds of other uncontrolled direct access points to Highway 95. Vehicles regularly travel at speeds of more than 70 mph on this two lane stretch of undivided highway. Great strides have been made over the last 10 years with 14.8 miles of the 31.5 miles turned into four lanes of divided highway. The remaining improvements will dramatically improve safety and commerce in Northern Idaho.
