Sixth grader Chase McLaughlin and members of the Sandpoint Affordable Football League kicked off their season this week for the 3rd/4th grade, 5th grade, 6th/7th grade and 8th grade teams, who joined together for a dynamic workout before breaking into their teams. Sandpoint High School cheerleaders served as mentors while teaching jumps in the debut season for the SAFL youth cheer, as the excitement was heard from across the field. Youth cheerleaders squads from 3rd/4th grade and 5th/6th grade were already in formations and you could hear “Go Bulldogs Go” from the loud little voices.
