Center hosting free coding class
In collaboration with Devtree Academy and the East Bonner County Library, the Sandpoint Youth Center is hosting a free 1.5-hour workshop to introduce area high school students to software coding.
The class is for 9th-12th graders from any high school (including homeschoolers) in Bonner County. The workshop will consist of 45 minutes demonstration/introduction to basic coding, followed by 45 minutes of hands-on practice. Please send reservations to sandpointteencenter@yahoo.com to sign up. A limited number of laptops will be available; participants are encouraged to bring one to use for the class.
The workshop will be held Thursday, Sept. 7, 3:30-5 p.m., at center, located at Pine and Division, following its back-to-school barbecue at 2:30 p.m.
