(Photo courtesy DAVID SUHR/DAVID EVANS & ASSOCIATES) The Sand Creek Bridge on Schweitzer Cutoff Road is a step closer to completion after girders were placed on Wednesday. The bridge is scheduled to open in November. The bridge replacement is a project coordinated by the cities of Sandpoint and Ponderay. Due to a low sufficiency rating, the bridge was eligible for federal funds with the cities responsible for a 15-percent match, so 7.5 percent each.
