Pauline Dubin, 95, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Burial will take place at Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Los Angeles, Calif.
Pauline was born on June 18, 1922, in Newark, N.J., to Sam and Sarah Kaminsky. She grew up and attended schools in Trenton, N.J., as well as Pratt Art Institute, where she studied clothing design.
Pauline married Lester Dubin on April 1, 1941, in Georgia while Lester was stationed there in the Army. He was shipped overseas for four years during World War II. Upon his return, they raised their family in West Covina.
Pauline worked as a secretary at Covina Valley Unified School District. She and Lester retired and moved to Leisure Wood in Laguna Hills. Lester passed away in 2008; Pauline then moved to Luther Park in Sandpoint to be closer to family.
She was very artistic, and enjoyed photography and quilting.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Hali (Rick) Karr of Sandpoint; her son, Marc (Ila) Dubin of Cameron Park, Calif; and her daughter, Amy (Chuck) Scottini of Cheyenne, Wyo.; four grandchildren, Sam, Gabriel, Asher and Mariam; and her sister, Phyllis Gottlieb of North Ridge, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lester, son Melvin Dubin, sister Marilyn Cherniss, and two brothers, David Kaminsky and Nathan Kamins.
