Balanced Bulldogs bombard 5A Trojans in 6-0 shutout

POST FALLS — Five different Bulldogs found the back of the net, variety which makes them difficult to defend, leading to a 6-0 blanking of the 5A Trojans in nonleague girls soccer on Tuesday at Post Falls High School.

The Bulldogs (3-0-1) started fast against their fourth straight 5A opponent, as Casey Shaha scored the first of her two goals just three minutes into the game, and Riley Walkington, Kiley Webster, Emi Lynch and Kayla Inman also punched in goals, part of a strong showing that earned high praise from coach Conor Baranski.

“Once again I’m excited about our mentality. We came out and got the job done, it shows the players are motivated to keep succeeding,” he said. “We have five different scorers for our six goals, that’s been pretty common for all of our games, that makes us a lot harder to defend. We’re hungry to keep succeeding, I’m really proud of the girls.”

Shea Kilpatrick kept the clean sheet to earn her first shutout of the season, stopping four shots.

The Bulldogs get a little breather before opening 4A Inland Empire League play on Tuesday in a showdown against Lakeland under the lights of War Memorial Field.
