SANDPOINT — Parking at the gravel pit adjacent to Forest Service Road 231, in the Upper Pack River drainage, and the Fault Lake Trailhead on the Sandpoint Ranger District will be impacted by the Sundance Fire 50th anniversary commemoration. Events begin today and run through Sept. 2.
USFS officials are asking forest visitors to be aware there will be limited parking and some traffic congestion during these dates. All other trailheads (Harrison Lake, Chimney Rock, and Beehive Lakes), dispersed camping areas, and the Upper Pack River road FSR 231 are expected to receive normal use.
