Morning Glory Circle ministers through quilts
(Courtesy photo) Baby, youth, and lap quilts have been lovingly pieced and donated for over 20 years by the Morning Glory Circle and Activity Group of the United Methodist Church. The quilts are distributed in time to be put under the Christmas tree and baby quilts are donated to Bonner General Health and to Homeless Transitions for at-risk children to be given with tender, loving care.
Twenty-one years ago, Morning Glory Circle and Activity Group of the United Methodist Church were asked to make quilts for foster children.
Now, quilts for baptisms, confirmation, Pacific Northwest Conference United Methodist Church Annual Conference, foster children and needy babies at Bonner General Health are made by the group. The 21 year total of quilts given to Bonner County children is over 600 quilts. Many, many ladies over the years have donated their time, talents, and gifts to give a homemade quilt to children to keep them warm in body and spirit. Through their quilt ministry, United Methodist Women are putting faith, hope, and love in action for women, children, and youth around the world.
