| December 9, 2017 12:00 AM

SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome area residents and businesses to come to their general membership luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 14.

The luncheon will be held from noon-1 p.m. with registration starting at 11:45 a.m. at DiLuna’s Café, 207 Cedar St., Sandpoint.

President of North Idaho College Rick MacLennan will be speaking and the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint will be providing holiday entertainment. The music conservatory will be collecting monetary donations to help fund their programs and the chamber will be collecting donations for Toys for Tots.

Rick MacLennan began serving as the president of North Idaho College on July 1, 2016. Prior to his return to the Northwest, Dr. MacLennan served for six years as the president of Garrett College, one of Maryland’s sixteen comprehensive community colleges. After graduating from Portland State University and completing the College Student Services Administration master degree program at Oregon State University in 1985, Dr. MacLennan served in various student affairs leadership roles in Louisiana and Washington State — most recently as the vice president for student services from 1998 to 2010 at Olympic College in Bremerton, Wash.

The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce would like to encourage everyone in the community to attend the luncheon. Cost is $15 for chamber members, $20 for non-chamber members and includes lunch catered by DiLuna’s Café. Please register online atsandpointchamber.com or call 208-263-2161 to reserve your space.
