JAYVEES WIN BOTH WEEKEND GAMES

CHRISTMAS DRIVE FOR RED CROSS

Dec. 17-25 will be devoted to adding new members to the American Red Cross. There are now 5,000,000 members in the U.S. and the head of the national organization expects this number to increase to 15,000,000 by Christmas day. Bonner county has approximately 1000 members and its apportionment is 1000 more. G.H. Martin, county director, believes the county will add 2000.

The work of the Red Cross in this war is to succor and save the wounded, friend and foe alike; to give relief to destitute populations; and to mitigate the horrors of war as far as possible.

The Sandpoint chapter and its auxiliaries have sent supplies that would have cost over $20,000.
