SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce would like to extend congratulations to Bonner General Health as the Business of the Month.

Bonner General Health is a 25-bed non-profit hospital and a network of clinics and programs serving Sandpoint and the surrounding areas. BGH was the first hospital in northern Idaho to receive all three Time Sensitive Emergency Designations this year: Level II Stemi (Heart) Center, Level III Stroke Center, and Level IV Trauma Center. Each designation represents an integrated model followed closely by Bonner General Health, EMTs, other first responders and area hospitals ensuring patients arrive at the right place, at the right time, for the proper care. Bonner General Health currently employs 455 employees and continues to grow.

As a community partner Bonner General Health has a positive effect on the well-being of the residents in Sandpoint and surrounding communities. They believe it is necessary to offer the community services, education, and information to achieve this goal. Through their continued growth and dedicated employees they provide award-winning services to meet the healthcare needs of Bonner County.

Bonner General is passionate about helping individuals improve community health and quality of life, and participates in community events and activities that support their mission. In 2017 BGH provided donations and sponsorships to numerous health and wellness programs including Kinderhaven, Scenic Half Marathon, Sandpoint Teen Center, Bonner Partners in Care Clinic, Sandpoint Area Seniors, Community Cancer Services and 7B Drug-Free Coalition.
