Lisa Ann Book, 56
Lisa Ann Book, 56, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at Life Care Center in Sandpoint, Idaho, surrounded by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Brian Book; daughters Amy Warner and Heather Book and her son Christopher Book; brothers Rod Dorland and Gary Dorland; sisters Sandra Tate and Cindy Dorland; son-in-law Neal Warner; grandsons Dakota and Joseph; in-laws Ron Book, Lori Weiler, David and Todd Book; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Los Gatos, Calif., on July 18, 1961 to Derward and Betty Ponder, she moved to Okla-homa City in 1974. She graduated from Yukon High School in 1979. She enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1981 serving on the USS Samuel Gompers as a Yeoman for three years when she got out for an administrative discharge after receiving sole custody of her daughter Amy Rothove. She moved back to Oklahoma City for six months then moved to San Diego, Calif.
Lisa and Brian got married in San Diego, Calif., on Dec. 11, 1985, and were married for 31 years, 11 months and 27 days. Heather was born in San Diego on Sept. 16, 1986; and Christopher was born at Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint on July 26, 1991.
Lisa and family moved to Sandpoint in 1987 after Brian was discharged from the U.S. Navy. Lisa worked at Harold’s IGA, for the state of Idaho as a home healthcare provider for five years, Bonner General Health for 13 years as a housekeeper, maintenance supervisor and nuclear medicine assistant, she worked at Life Care Center for almost three years in housekeeping, as a certified nurse’s assistant and finally scheduling coordinator.
She touched many people lives over the years in her social activities and healthcare career. Many people for the better, some maybe not so much. You always knew where you stood with Lisa.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1900 Pine St, Sandpoint, Idaho
