The suggestion by Samuel Hogue that I move to Australia because of their common sense gun is hereby declined because I happen to love the country that my forbears fought for, including the one who signed the Declaration of Independence. And in World War II, I flew a tour of missions over Germany and Austria, operating a couple of caliber 50 machine guns from the tail end of a B-24.
Mr. Hogue fails to note that there have been no mass shootings in Australia for 20 years while we still put up with an average of a bit over one a day, even though he and other gun nuts pack firearms to protect themselves and others.
Perhaps he should go to Australia and investigate how their gun laws compare to ours, or our lack thereof.
