Local hoopsters Gavin Miles, pictured left, and Tru Tomco played in the Santa Slammer Spokane AAU tournament at The Warehouse last weekend. Tomco played on the 509 Synergy 7th grade girls team, and Miles on the 5th grade Sandpoint Future team. Both players attend the Basketball School of Sandpoint on Tuesday and Thursday nights at Northside elementary, coached by Darren Laiche, a former Division 1 player at New Orleans, and his son Austin.
