Vonnie Jan Bejot Chinn, 53, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on Dec. 18, 2017, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Sandpoint Assembly of God.
Vonnie was born Sept. 13, 1964, to Roger and Getha Bejot in Bassett, Nebraska. Her family resided in Long Pine, Nebraska, until they moved to Idaho in August 1966.
Vonnie attended schools in Boise, Glenns Ferry, Emmett and Sandpoint. She received her certified nurse’s assistant certificate and loved caring for people.
Vonnie was passionate about music, singing and playing the piano. She wrote songs and poetry throughout her life, some which have been published. Vonnie dedicated her life to God. She was active in the church warship team and directed many Christmas plays.
On April 21, 1990, she married David Chinn and together they have three beautiful daughters. They lived all their married life in the Sandpoint area. Vonnie loved being a mother, and later a grandmother of four. At times she was known as the neighborhood mom.
Von-nie had a loving heart, she helped those in need and would give what she had to others.
Vonnie had many hobbies including raising and breading schipperkes, rock hunting with her husband David, and fishing with family and friends.
Vonnie Jan Bejot Chinn is survived by her parents, Roger and Getha Bejot; her sisters, Patricia Clagg, Vergie Rutherford and Jennifer Tillberg: her husband, David Chinn; three daughters, Veronica Chinn Howard, Aletha Tiffany Chinn, and Amilea Chinn Schwarts; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Lori Bejot Goldsby, Jerry Clagg, and Don and Marlean Chinn.
