Big fourth quarter propels sizzling Bulldog boys to win
SPOKANE VALLEY — Sandpoint exploded for 23 fourth quarter points, more than doubling up Deer Park, and the streaking Bulldog boys won their fourth straight game after downing Deer Park 47-40 on day two of the Eagle Holiday Classic at West Valley High School.
The red-hot Bulldogs (6-2) trailed 22-15 at the half, but were undaunted, turning the tide with a rock solid defensive effort in the second half. Brothers T.J. Davis and Alex Stockton combined for 20 big points in a hard fought, defensive slugfest, and sophomore guard Cade Vernon added eight important points for the balanced Bulldogs.
Isaac Berglund led a strong Deer Park (4-3) squad with 17 points.
