Troop 111 hosting Polar Bear Plunge

SANDPOINT — Are you brave enough to take the plunge?
Thanks to Troop 111, you can jump into the frigid waters of Lake Pend Oreille and say hello to 2018 on Monday, New Year’s Day. Sandpoint’s oldest Boy Scout troop, Troop 111 is holding its annual Polar Bear Plunge and the event will begin at 11 a.m. at the Sandpoint City Beach boat launch.
Everyone is invited to come join Sandpoint’s oldest Boy Scout troop in celebrating and kicking off the new year by jumping in the lake. All are welcome.
Along with other stalwart souls, there will be heated changing tents and hot chocolate to warm you up after the plunge.
The event is free and open to the public.
