Heather Scott apparently lacks the experience and professionalism to carry out her duties as state representative. To blame Speaker Scott Bedke for removing her from committees because of her reckless behavior is irresponsible. Being a state representative requires competence and should be handled in a business-like manner.
Ms. Scott should quit blaming others for the consequences of her actions and take responsibility for what she said. Ms. Scott, people are going to do what people are going to do — and you have no control over their actions. It is not your place to call out others for what you perceive as their lack of morale character. That’s not your job, and that’s not why you’re in Boise. Your job is to do the best you can to represent the people who elected you, regardless of what you perceive as slights, and quit making excuses for why you’re not doing that. You are not the morality police. Although, considering the stringent laws enacted in Idaho during the past year regarding women’s rights and abortion, apparently the Republican majority in the Idaho Legislature thinks they are.
