(Courtesy photo) On Jan. 20 Jayne Sturm’s sixth-grade class from Northside Elementary took a field trip into their future, visiting Gonzaga University, where they walked around campus, toured facilities and experienced the excitement of college life. Highlights included a personal tour by GU senior and SHS alum Beth Lewis, a visit to the Jundt Art Museum to view the Dale Chihuly exhibit, a tour of the McCarthy Athletic Center and the men’s basketball locker room, and finally some ice skating.
