I am respectfully asking voters to consider voting yes in the upcoming levy. Exceptional schools are not only important for the students who attend them; they are vitally important to our community services and economy. For a small town, we are blessed with outstanding community services including high quality healthcare services, legal services, contracting services, stores, etc. A key component in attracting and keeping these community resources is our schools. Having high quality schools and community services attracts businesses; this creates jobs and drives our economy. One of the first questions that potential service providers and businesses ask when considering Sandpoint is how our schools compare to other areas. High quality schools also provide an excellent pool of qualified employees right here at home. Providing our students with a great education gives them the opportunity for good employment and a strong future. Historically, our community has supported our schools which has made us stand out compared to other regions; therefore, service providers and employers have been drawn here, keeping our town economically sound and providing outstanding community services. Supporting schools supports having community services in town so that we don’t have to drive to Coeur d’Alene or Spokane, and it keeps businesses that provide jobs in Bonner County. Please consider voting yes in the upcoming levy. Thank you.
