In the last year, Dan Rose and Kathy Rose have made 132 public information requests to the Lake Pend Oreille School District. When this paper asked Mr. Rose about the cost to LPOSD of responding to these requests, Mr. Rose replied, “Transparency has a cost of zero dollars and fosters community goodwill.” In the spirit of bilateral transparency, I respectfully ask Dan Rose to answer the following questions,
1. Did you, Kathy Rose, your children, grandchildren, or other relatives attend public school? If so, where? Did you (plural) graduate?
2. Did you, Kathy Rose, your children, grandchildren, or other relatives attend a public college or university? If so, where? Did you (plural) graduate?
3. Have you, Kathy Rose, your children, grandchildren, or other relatives volunteered to help LPOSD in any capacity; i.e., student extracurricular activities such as sports, art, student clubs or with tutoring, purchasing classroom supplies for teachers, or shoveling snow off school roofs? If so, when and where?
3. Are you, Kathy Rose, your children, grandchildren, or other relatives members of any board, committee, panel, party, organization, or group that supports or opposes the LPOSD supplemental levy? If so, what are the names
4. Would you disclose all your emails in 2016?
Mr. Rose’s responses to these questions would go a long way in fostering “community goodwill” and proving he truly is a supporter of transparency by all.
