In my recent letters to the editor on planning parenthood, I made a mistake: birth control /is /available in North Idaho on a sliding scale right down to affordable, from Panhandle Health. (263-5159 for more information); they are a not-for profit that contracts with the state.
We should guarantee that women understand and have access to birth control. Men can buy condoms for a buck a pop and don’t even have to go to the drugstore — they can get them in public restrooms! Talk about free choice.
Often our inability to find solutions to tough political problems is caused by mistakes of fact. I stand guilty. In the past Americans have been pretty darn good at finding solutions even when our moral views differ--but only when we have gotten the facts straight.
Isn’t that what freedom ringing sounds like?
Let’s keep talking.
