SANDPOINT POLICE

Feb. 14

A property owner in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue was given options for dealing with an abandoned vehicle at 7:58 a.m.

A 15-year-old Sandpoint female was cited in the 1000 block of N. Boyer Avenue at 8:53 a.m. on a charge of minor in possession of tobacco.

The owner of a vehicle left in the 1500 block of Ontario Street was contacted at 9:17 a.m. and advised to move it.

A 911 pocket dial was reported on Turbine Drive at 9:24 a.m.

An officer advised that what sounded like a gunshot in the 1600 block of Hickory Street at 10:47 a.m. was probably a blown transformer. Avista was informed.

An officer contacted a citizen in the 200 block of S. Florence Avenue at 11 a.m. regarding missing keys.

After a reported traffic hazard at Fifth and Larch at 1:53 p.m., an officer advised the traffic signal was functioning normally upon arrival.

A vehicle was reported left on private property in the 400 block of N. Division Avenue at 2:49 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a dog reported to be at large in the area of the 700 block of Church Street at 3:15 p.m.

A check written on a closed account was reported in the 300 block of S. First Avenue at 4:02 p.m.

A dog found on the bike path in the Ontario Street area was taken to the shelter at 4:24 p.m.

Tyson L. Boggess, 31, of Blanchard, was arrested in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue at 5:59 p.m. on a charge of driving without privileges.

Accidental 911 activation was reported in the Cedar Street area at 5:42 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate the source of a 911 hang-up call in the Walnut Street area at 7:25 p.m.

Officers contacted several subjects involved in a physical altercation reported in the 1000 block of Jefferson Avenue at 7:29 p.m. No charges were pressed and they were all told to stay away from each other.

Dispute over a trailer left on private property in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue at 12:50 a.m.

Officers contacted a male reported as suspicious in the area of W. Lake Street and S. Division Avenue at 2:05 a.m.; he had permission to be there.

Feb. 14

An officer responded to the 800 block of Kootenai Cutoff Road at 9:52 a.m. for a welfare check.

Officer received a call of theft in the 300 block of Bonner Mall Way at 9:53 a.m.

Officer received a call at 12:15 p.m. regarding a theft from the 476900 block of Highway 95 that had occurred earlier.

Report of a 911 hang-up in the 200 block of Bonner Mall Way at 4:51 p.m.

An officer assisted Sandpoint Police in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue at 5:59 p.m.

An officer assisted Sandpoint Police in the 1000 block of Jefferson Avenue at 7:29 p.m.

Feb. 15
