Farmin Stidwell Elementary School held its annual food drive for several weeks leading up to the holiday break. The food drive officially started Dec.12 and ended on Dec. 21. Members of student council decided on the food drive due to the fact the food bank is low on food right now. They also felt that since it was the holiday season, it would be best to start giving.

Over the last several years at Farmin Stidwell Elementary students and staff have collected hundreds to thousands of pounds of food, giving back to those in need in our community. To raise awareness, student council created posters and put them around the school and provided daily announcements in hope to collect 1,500 pounds of food. The food collected was non-perishable items such as canned and dry goods. The school is anxiously awaiting the number of pounds collected to see if they reached their desired goal.
