County third in boater spending

SANDPOINT — According to a recent study completed by Boise State University, spending on power boating related products and services contributed $335.3 million to Idaho’s economy in 2015.

In an effort to quantify the economic impact of power boating to the state, Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation partnered with Boise State University to conduct the study.

The top three counties for spending are Kootenai County ($89.8 million), Ada County ($60.3 million) and Bonner County ($39.2 million).
