Ronald Irwin Provolt, 86

Ronald Irwin Provolt, 86, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Private family services have been held.

Ron was born on Aug. 3, 1930, in Regent, North Dakota, along with his twin brother Donald Irvin Provolt, to parents Hubert and Louise Provolt. They both worked at a dairy as youngsters and later spent time in the Navy on the USS Montreal.

Ron married Vida May Bell in 1953.She was raising 2-year-old Michael at the time. Together, they had Randy, born in 1955, Danny, born in 1957 and Cheryl, born in 1962.

Ron, his older brothers Bud and Don, and their dad Hubert all retired from Reynold’s Aluminum Plant in Longview, Washington.

Ron and Vida spent their retirement years in North Idaho out in the country with their children nearby. Vida’s brother, Eldon Johnson, and his wife Hilda moved to North Idaho shortly after to join them in their adventure.

Ron made everyone smile, he was one of the nicest guys you would ever meet. He was ready to help anyone and everyone who needed it. Ronny was always happy, honest and hard working. We were all blessed to have had him in our lives and are going to miss him dearly.

Ron and Vida are both survived by their children, grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vida, and brothers Bud, Don, and Bob.
