Sandpoint Cutthroat Lacrosse Club holding info meeting

| January 6, 2017 12:00 AM

SANDPOINT — As it has all over the west in this century, lacrosse has taken hold in Sandpoint, with players from the third grade through high school enjoying the sport each season.

The Sandpoint Cutthroat Lacrosse Club will be holding an informational meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 5 p.m. in the Sandpoint High School auditorium for all potential players and their parents. The meeting is a chance for kids who are interested to learn about the club, meet the board and coaches, and learn about the plans for a girls high school team.

The Cutthroat have a 3rd/4th grade team, a 5th/6th grade team, a middle school team, and a high school varsity and JV club team. There will be a brief introduction of the program and then each grade will break off into an age section for the coaches to talk more specifically.

The season for high school starts at the end of February, while the other grades will start practicing in March. There is currently a winter indoor season for the older kids, as well.

Any local boys or girls interested in playing lacrosse are welcome to attend the meeting.
