Xmas tree disposal for city residents

SANDPOINT — Community members who live within Sandpoint city limits have a couple of options for Christmas tree disposal this year. 

A free drop-off site is located on Airport Way behind the City Shop at 2024 Industrial Drive. The site is easy to find and clearly marked.

Anyone in city limits who needs assistance with disposal of their tree should contact Waste Management at 208-263-2432. Christmas trees under 50 pounds and less than 60 inches tall can be transported to the disposal site by Waste Management for $6.70 per tree. Pick up will be scheduled during the third week in January, so anyone needing assistance should call ahead to sign up.
