Oleson pin leads SHS wrestler in loss

POST FALLS — Sophomore Casey Oleson scored a first period pin at 106 pounds, Preston Bunty a second period pin at 152 pounds, and Zack Alamillo (220) and Owen Stebbins (182) scored a pair of hard-earned 3-2 decisions to lead the Bulldogs in a 56-18 loss against 5A Columbia in a wrestling dual Thursday at Post Falls High School.

The Bulldogs ran their duals record on the season to 5-4, getting a chance to face off against a strong 5A program from Nampa, which traveled north for the River City Duals.

The Bulldog JV team faced off against 5A power Post Falls, more than holding their own by splitting the 14 matches 7-7.

The Bulldogs will get plenty of duals action today and Saturday in Post Falls at the River City Duals, an annual event that draws more than 20 quality teams from Washington and Idaho.
