Poelstra paces Sandpoint Gun Club trap shooters

SANDPOINT — Randy Poelstra scored a 24 out of a possible 25 to lead the Sandpoint Gun Club team on Sunday during week No. 2 of the 2017 Spokesman Review Trap Shoot.

Jerry Whitmire carded a 23, and Bob Kennedy and Steve Torres 22s for a team score of 91, one point higher than the previous week for the Division III team.

The Sandpoint Gun Club Ladies finished with a score of 37, led by Barb Camps with 19 and Linda Bottcher 18.

At the Noxon Shoot, shot at the same time, Poelstra led the way again with a 44 (24/20), followed by Tim Farmin 43 (20/23), Mike Hunter 41 (18/23) and Doug Bottcher 41 (21/20) for a team score of 169.

Barb Camps carded a 42 (19/23) and Linda Bottcher a 35 (18/17) for the women shooters.

Any and all shooters are welcome every Sunday morning at 9 a.m. at the Sandpoint Gun Club.
