A few of the estimated 800-1,000 people march down Bridge Street en route from the Panida Theater to the Statue of Liberty at City Beach. Organizers said the grassroots community gathering was focused on making a positive difference in everything from environmental protection, human/women’s rights, economic/social justice, and building a welcoming community. The event was sponsored by the Grassroots Community March Committee. Look for the story in Tuesday’s Bee.
