Each year, Hope Elementary holds a food drive — which is a friendly competition between the classes — to help the Christmas Giving Program at the Hope Memorial Community Center. These five sixth-grade advanced math students counted and kept a wall graph up-to-date weekly. On Thursday, Dec 15, they loaded both cargo holds on Bill Everhart’s bus plus a few seats with the many boxes holding 1,181 nonperishable food items.
